Each painting here is an attempt to find a balance, a harmony, a compromise. Some of the paintings have landscape or architectural elements, others have a graffiti or hand-lettered appearance.

My name is Jacob Shreve and I’m a painter living in Kailua, Hawaii. I enjoy a variety of creative explorations, including wood working, jewelry making, and others, but always return to paining. Every painting is original and no prints are made. Some canvases were purchased from art supply companies, other’s were built and stretched for the painting. The majority of paintings are acrylic, although certain paintings are a combination of acrylic, watercolor, and in a few cases, oil. All work here is my own.
